My Gym Classes
How much did it cost you? i just called and they want $348 dollars for 12 classes. That's about $30 per class. This seems like a lot. Are there any ever deals?

Which my gym did you call? I go to the one in stony brook and pay about $90 a month for unlimited classes ( we go 3 times a week)

I called the Stony Brook one. I asked if they had pay per class and she said no, that it was 12 classes for $288 (I think she said thats $96 per month) plus a $60 enrollment fee. Now the fee is supposedly lifetime membership and can apply to any location... but it still seems ridiculous to me. And if you get 90 per month for unlimited, why would I pay $96 for only 4 classes per month??

How old is your DC? I know the unlimited classes is only for the classes where parents stay with children ( I think independent classes start at 3?) I also know they waive the $60 enrollment if you're a teacher so I didn't have to pay that as my husband is. It is expensive if you're not getting the unlimited classes...but it's an awesome class, my DD loves it there which is why we go so often.

see, we didn't have things like this when / where I grew up. We just played at the park and our parents did this stuff with us and called it a day. I just can't justify $90 a month or $348 for 12 classes for what i feel my child could get for free between the park and the library groups.
