Holding in pee?!?
Dd isn't potty trained yet. She's 2.5. She holds in her pee a lot. But this week it has been for longer than usual. Yesterday, she held it in for 17 hours, went, and then held it in again for more than 7 hrs. I took her to the ped. He wants me to get her to pee in a cup. So far, no luck! She will sit on the potty but nt make in it. Today, she was normal until 3pm. She hasn't gone since then. We kept her up an hour and a half past her bedtime tonight but no pee. We are so worried! She is acting normal- not showing any signs of pain or infection. What do we do?

Re: Holding in pee?!?
its a control thing
I had an extreme version of your problem
my son held pee in that long when we tried to potty train him, he would simply refuse to pee in the potty and would hold it, till he would cry that it hurts and even after pleading with him to please pee in the pot, he wouldn't, and we eventually put him back in diapers.
Are you potty training at all?

I think we are going to stop asking her to go to take the pressure off. We are in the very very beginning of training. She is getting used to the potty. Dr told us to start training for real and put her in pull-ups so we aren't treating her like a baby.
