Cleaning sneakers?
So today DD had a pee accident at school. No biggie...until I noticed they had changed her shoes in addition to her clothes. When I took her shoes out of the bag of soiled clothes they STUNK of urine. Must have been a humdinger of an accident...and soaked her shoes. They are brand new too...and weren't cheap. So how can I I clean them? They are leather sneakers with a lot of glitter, jewels and embellishments, etc. So I can't put them in the washing machine or anything. Help!

Re: Cleaning sneakers?
i put the boys sneakers in the machine .......
but those ........eh, maybe you can put them in a tied closed pillow case and wash on gentle? that's the only way I can think of to actually get them CLEAN .
OR, soak them in white vinegar to get the urine smell out ......but I dont' know what that will do to the leather

Re: Cleaning sneakers?
If you do wash them in the machine...I would put each one in a separate closed pillowcase, so they don't scratch each other...and def wash I cold water on delicate.
The vinegar is a good idea too, except I don't k ow if it will affect the glue that's holding all the decorations on...
Can you hand wash and Febreze them?
Good luck!!

This is what I would do. I'd definitely have to machine wash them to feel like they were really "clean" and cross my fingers that they came out ok.

I send her to school with crocs for this reason. She ruined way too many shoes, lol!
