Would you happen to remember if insurance covered anything?

Re: Did anyone have a home birth or birth with a midwife?
My midwife works at a regular ob/gyn. I had seen everyone at the practice, it just so happened she was on call the night I delivered- I wasn't hung up on using a midwife. Everything was covered as it normally would be. I would start by calling your insurance and see if there are any specific midwives they deal with in your area.

My sister had a home birth with a midwife (I was her birth partner and it was the coolest thing ever!!!) All her prenatal care was covered under her insurance, and she had to pay a flat fee for the home birth, which was around $1200 if I remember correctly. Feel free to fm me if you want... I had 3 kids in a hospital but after being at her birth I would absolutely have a home birth if I ever got pregnant again!
