Should I look for something else for 2yr old to do?

We have library class on Wednesday mornings & she plays at our church nursery on Thursday mornings with out me for 2 hours but I thought it would be good for her to do some kind of class on Mondays.
Maybe music, ballet, gymnastics?
Preferably somewhere I could leave her since we are way too attached these days.
On one hand I think it would be good to add an activity but then I feel like she's so young & I want to have a relaxed schedule while we still can, not to mention that these things cost $.
I was almost thinking of just joining a gym & she can play in the nursery area so I could actually do something for myselfChat Icon crazy thoughtChat Icon
But then I feel like it's not benefiting her any to be stuck in a little room.
I know I just have to decide but I thought I'd get other opinions. I live near RVC so if anyone has a suggestion of a program or class for DD around here, I'd like to look into it.
Thanks! Sorry this simple question got so long!

DD is 21 months and I struggle with the same question. I generally do the library 1 day a week when there are classes (which is most of the time) , I do a mommy and me at my church one day a week for 1-2 hours, which is basically free play and some arts and crafts, and this fall I am doing thinkertots with her, which is also mommy and me one day a week for about an hour and fifteen meetings (I am doing this bc I bought a groupon last year for a great deal). Once my groupon is over come December, I will have to reassess, but will probably do another mommy and me structured type of class again. I agree, things are very expensive which is why I love library programs and my church program. I bring DD To daycare at the gym on the rare occasions that I go, and honestly, it is pretty great when I actually go(although I still don't get to go that often) -- there are other kids to socialize with and she learns some separation skills too. I also try to do play dates etc.. At this age I am not too keen on spending tons of money on classes or trying to teach a skill or whatever.. I just want to keep her entertained (which doenst take much at this age), spend time with her since I became a PTWM rather than FTWM to spend more time with her and , and allow her to socialize some.
Hope this helps. If you decide you want to do some classes, do a couple of free trials and see what she likes. I hear great things about My GYm, and Music Together. Just Wee Two also has good separation programs for 2 year olds.

I think it will be better for the child and easier for both of you if she is involved in something else too. Just my opinion.

easier for both meaning when it comes time for school and parting ways 5 days a week. otherwise it can be a real shock for kids and parents

True! I'd really like to find something that she can do independently so she can get used to leaving me.
It's been torture lately, I had a babysitter monday & I wound up telling her to go home because DD was so hysterical. She even cried today when DH took her to the park with out me.
There are classes at the RVC rec center but I have to be there, is there anywhere I can leave her or at least be in a separate room that's not to expensive?
