Pancakes
Do you use any specific type of batter or is Bisquick ok? Do you put anything on them? I'm guessing I just prepare them following the box directions?
DD is 8m and I'm trying to wean her off purees and looking for more food ideas.

I use whole foods 365 pancake mix. I prepare it according to the box, sometimes ill add some banana.

I use bisquick and just put a tiny bit of butter on them. I would also add bananas or blueberries which made them easier to eat plain.

I use Bisquick Heart Smart and make them according to the directions. But i usually add a mashed banana to the mix. Or Ill throw some blueberries in it too. My DD has always refused syrup so she eats them dry.
ETA : I always make a double batch and freeze them so its easy to just pop one in the microwave in the morning for breakfast.

I wouldn't use Bisquick, I'm pretty sure it has trans fat. Most of the other brands don't.

WHole foods has frozen silver dollar pancakes. And French toast sticks too. I use butter, organic maple syrup ( for a real eye opener, compare the ingredient list of organic pure maple syrup and the popular commercial "syrup" brands...shocking!) organic apple butter, or a little bit of low sugar jam for my 15 month olds. On weekends ill make buckwheat pancakes from a mix which are loaded with fiber and protein.

I make my own, typically from a whole wheat mix. Then I add mashed bananas or pumpkin, & flax seed & cinnamon. I make extra & freeze the rest (that I cook)

I use Trader Joes multigrain mix. I make a bunch and then freeze them individually in foil!

I make mine from scratch. Pancakes are only flour, baking powder, baking soda and a little sugar. Then obviously adding the wet ingredients. I then add berries or other fruit and cinnamon. I make batches of these and waffle sticks and freeze them.
