Need Advice/Opinions - Birthday Party Related

DD1 is born in April. Her 1st Birthday was at home. I planned to have some people outside, but it ended up being freezing and pouring all day. So 40 people crammed in the house, and it was really tight.

DD2 Birthday is coming up the end of Nov. No way we can plan to have anything outside and this time the guest list is a little longer for one reason or another. I have a hall I can use that holds 60 people (the guest list is over that, but hoping for some No rsvps)

I just can't get passed the fact that DD1 had a small party at home, and now DD2 is getting a bigger party. I know it's silly.

Should I try to scale the guest list back, and squeeze everyone in my house again or just go for the hall/more people?

I don't think you need to feel guilty or scale back a party just so it "matches" your DD1's party. The good thing about that age is they dont know any better so you are not hurting any feelings Chat Icon Plus this is bound to happen as the years go on. You have more kids, your friends have more kids, your kids have more friends, etc. Every year that passes our guest list and parties get bigger in numbers. I would just go with the hall Chat Icon

It's really a party for you!

We did the same inside party with too many people for DD that we did with DS for exactly the reason of having the same party... So I get it.

No, you shouldn't scale back out of fear that your first child won't think its fair. Have the party you want!
