Dropping the dream feed
From the time my DD was 3 months until 5 months we had an amazing routine going. She was getting 5 bottles for a total of 30 oz of breastmilk per day (I EP). One of those bottles was a 10:30pm dream feed. She was sleeping from 8:30pm to 8:30am which was perfect for me as a FTWM. It gave me a lot of time with her after work and also allowed me to get ready for work in the AM before she woke up and then to have about 20 min with her before I left for work. Obviously it was also nice to get to sleep in until 8:30 on weekend mornings.
At her 5 month Dr. appt, her ped told me to drop the dream feed. We tried it over the last 3 days and she is now waking up 60-90 minutes earlier than before. Obviously 7-7:30 am is still not a bad wake up time, but we had such a fantastic routine going that I'm a little bummed about this. Did anyone have a similar experience?

Did you just cut feed altogether or is she still getting those ounces incorporated with other feedings? The ped told us at 4 months it is more about caloric intake over the course of the day rather than the times he was getting fed. So we just slowly increased the amounts in each of his day time bottles and then cut out the 11 feed completely. He was still getting 28-30oz but in 4 bottles rather than 5.

I tried to get those ounces into other bottles and she actually wouldn't finish them!

Sounds like my son. He will be 9 months on Friday and just figured out how to sttn.I finally was able to get more ounces in during the day which helped because if we didn't he'd wake during the night for a feeding !!!
I say do it as long as you have or until ypu can get her to take more during the day. Plain and simple. Every baby is different so to me, there is no real great answer.
