Cycle 37, IVF #3
Last Thursday I had my BETA test. I had tested beforehand, but did not trust the test. Thursday afternoon, they called and confirmed what the HPT said, I am PREGNANT! I am in shock! I had my repeat BETA on Saturday and the numbers are increasing nicely according to the nurse. I forgot to ask about the exact numbers for BETA #2, but BETA #1 was 210.
I still can not believe it and I do not think it will feel real until we see the heartbeat. I was suppose to have a sonogram on Friday, but we will be away for the holiday weekend and then the following week is the first week of school so my schedule is too TIGHT to travel to NYC. They said I can just do it at my regular ObGyn, so now I am waiting for a nurse there to call me back since it is a special request since I am considered a transfer patient.
This has been a long journey (37 cycles, 3 IVFS, traveling 200 miles for this last cycle) and I am in still in disbelief. I will say I had a feeling it worked early on. I had MAJOR cramping the night after my transfer and I really believed it was implantation cramping - apparently I was right.
As of right now, I feel okay. I am definitely bloated and if I eat even a little bit of food, I feel full. I also have some occasional very mild cramping and some nausea, but this could be due to the PIO. I have started to go for walks again - the nurse said no strenuous activity until we see a heartbeat.
