Need help

I'm thinking I need more help around the house. I've been thinking of a cleaning lady and maybe someone to help with weekly lawn care (not this year) . We don't have help from family so it' just DH and I. Anyone use services like this? Has it helped with family time and just overall mental health? lol. I'm so overwhelmed and I really think this will help.

I have a cleaning lady and couldn't imagine life without her. I have 3 kids and work full time. I was spending my entire weekend cleaning and told DH that if he wanted me to be sane we had to get help. Best investment ever.

We have landscapers as well because my DH just doesn't have time to cut the lawn.

Both have saved us from the many fights that we had before having a cleaning lady and a landscaper.

do it, if you can afford it.

if you can't afford it, pawn something and do it.

its worth it, for your mental health and health of your family. Unless you have some qualms about having strangers messing with your stuff, cause that might stress you out more. But if you are at a point where the mess is stressing you out, get help. Its so worth it.

We have both and it is so worth it! The landscapers come weekly and the cleaning lady every two weeks. I still wipe the bathroom down and swiffer the floors in between but the real scrubbing is done by her. It definitely makes life easier bc your house is never dirty. You can probably find one that does laundry too. I would rather do my own though. I found my cleaning lady on care.com

yes. it helps with mental health, 100% lol we got a landscaper years ago bc dh would take his sweet time getting to the lawn etc, and we'd argue about it. now it's done every week.
we got a cleaning lady for the same reason... bc we were both working full time, I was out of the house over 12 hours a day, would spend all day on my day off cleaning, and dh would be like a tornado around the house and then tell me "the inside of the house is your job" so after we had her, him making a mess didn't bother me nearly as much.
I have been home with the baby and still have the cleaning lady come every other week. I take care of the weeks in between. I will probably stop having her come at the end of the year, if i'm not back to work.

Need help

We hired someone to mow our lawn and it saves us a few hours a week. So worth it!

I also live out of state, have no help/family here.
Our cleaning lady comes every other week. Its nice to have and come home to, as we both work full time. I at least know the big cleaning is done, like the bathrooms, floors, etc, so i just have to do light cleaning during the week. id def recommend it.

I dont have either as of right now but I just had a baby in July. Im a nurse and will be returning full time so I am be out of the house 3 days a week for at least 14 hours. My dh is a cop in the nypd and has crazy hours. We are getting help. When I am working I need dh to be watching our ds not mowing the lawn and keeping up with all the cleaning is going to drive me insane. Lol if you can afford it I say go for it. It will make your life easier.

No we dont pay for help because we cant afford it and mortgage/daycare costs...

dh spends HOURS each week, cutting and edging,watering lawn, trimming bushes etc..

dh and I(well mostly dh) spends time around the house cleaning... it is exhausting.

We have both. We didn't get a cleaning lady until I was 8+ months pregnant with #2. We work FT and both of these things allow us to spend more quality time with our kids on the weekends. For us, it has definitely been worth it.
