allergist recs?
Hi all,
DS went for his 1 year bloodwork and they found a milk protein allergy, and so the ped told me to go to an allergist. She gave me the phone number of one but just wanted to see if anyone on here had any recommendations. I am in nassau. TIA!

I love Dr Strauss. He's a pediatric allergist in Westbury and Commack. DD had a milk protein allergy as an infant and at 1 year blood work it was still there, but a low number. He did the skin test and said her allergy was so mild she'd outgrow it and that I shouldn't cut out dairy completely bc some amounts will help her to outgrow it. By 15 months the allergy was gone.
We also just went this year after she turned 2 bc she got a strange rash the same week I gave peanut butter. We saw the PA, who was also incredibly nice, they did the skin test for all nuts/seeds and everything was negative.
I went to the office in Commack, and the exam room had to tons of toys/books to distract DD.
I highly recommend him!

i saw Dr. Strauss for myself and love him! i'm going back with my DS.

We also see Dr. Strauss...Both my son and I.. Very nice and really great with the kids....And the office staff is really good.
