"Fort" room ideas
The new place we are moving into has an area that is about 12x8. You enter into it through a small door halfway up the wall. It is carpeted and finished. We thought it would be a great fort type play area for our boys. My husband is going to attach a ladder to the wall for entry. Any cute ideas for what to do with the room? I am thinking bid floor pillows, puzzles and books, possibly legos. I have an IKEA storage thingi will use with baskets. I also considerd attaching dropcloths to the slanted ceiling for a sailboat effect. I want to make it fun and cozy. I also thought about chalkboard walls. Any help would be appreciated.

It would be cool to have a "dress up" corner, with like a treasure chest filled with costumes and props! I remember my nephews loved to dress up and play things like knights, pirates, robots, magician

Re: "Fort" room ideas
how old are your children? I imagine it similarly to you. I wanted a room like that when I was little. I would def. do one wall in chalkboard. I would have big pillows or bean bag chairs. I would have a little storage unit and fill it with books, legos, cars, containers of the chalk. the draping of fabric is hard to have an opinion on if you can't see how it feels in person. maybe some flashlights or one of those projection/music toys. There are a few different, nice ones that projects images or light shows and have music options as well.
