Question for those who started baby on cereal first....
What time of day did you give it to them? Did you do mornings evenings or both? Is there a better option. When we introduce veggies I was thinking morning oatmeal and evening veggies, but what about before that? Thinking ahead cause ped said to offer oatmeal at 4 months since DS is downing 40 oz a day. Thanks!

Re: Question for those who started baby on cereal first....
with both my boys I started cereal at 3 months. I did it at breakfast bottle (9am) and dinner bottle (6pm)
It was like a few teaspoons mixed with some formula. Then I started to reduce their bottles.
Then 4 months I started apples, pears, etc
If you are starting cereal at 4 months which is fine....I did this at 3 months Rice cereal for 1 week oatmeal for 2nd week barley for the 3rd week mixed them up like rice in the morning, then oatmeal in evening.
Then as far as veggies after I did all the cereals, I did apples for a week (at 9am and 6pm) then did pears but did like apples in the morning then pears later. Then I did peaches then banana etc tilI had a good rotation at 5 months I did veggies but I did them at lunch.....so then it was fruit9am, veggie12pm fruit6pm. Then I just changed it up as the months went on.

Anytime I introduced a new food, I offered it in the morning just in case there was a reaction.
For the first week, I did just mornings, then mornings and evenings. Even veggies I first introduced in the morning, then moved them to evenings when I sure there was no reaction.

Exactly this.
