I just saw the first episode of the season yesterday, so I am confused about how Walt got out of the business, I thought Lydia tied him into the operation with the Chech Republic?

On another note, I LOVE this show and so sad that its going to end!

I think some time has passed, and we missed key elements... there were really two different time periods in that episode-when his house was all boarded up and he snuck back in and it said Heisenberg, and saw the neighbor, and when he was still at the car wash and Hank was on his trail. So I think in the next 7 episodes we will see what happened in the "current" time frame and in the future where his house is abandoned.

I assumed he probably had that other kid who was working with him making the meth now since he taught him how to do it. If you remember what she said, she came to talk to Walt and complain that the purity had taken a dramatic drop to 60 something percent. So I think someone is still making the meth, it's just not Walt now and the purity is suffering. It's probably putting her in a bad situation.
