your coming home outfit?
I know people have asked this already, but I've read that you should avoid pants to bring LO home in because of the umbilical cord. Are you avoiding pants?
If you could post your coming home outfit, I need inspiration! We are having a

Re: your coming home outfit?
I'm actually bringing home in pants. It's pants with a matching cardigan from Carters. I would post a pic but I'm still trying to figure out how without posting it in my album. The pants won't cover the umbilical cord (slightly below) and they are size 3 months so they aren't constricting or anything.

I used pants. The onesie covered the cord and the pants barely came up to that point

Re: your coming home outfit?
I too am bringing my home in pants. My mom found a REALLY cute shirt and bottom in Marshalls for the baby. I'll probably need to put a white onesie under it though.
I'm only about 15 minutes away from the hospital so I'm not too concerned since he won't be in the outfit for hours.

I hardly put my newborn in pants. I love the one piece sleep and plays. Next time that's what I play to use going home.

Re: your coming home outfit?
I took DS home in pants. Everything you put your baby in will rub against the umbilical cord, but it's not really a big deal. Onesies go right over the uc while pants sit below it.
It took over 3 weeks for DS's umbilical cord to fall off. If I never put him in pants, he would've outgrown all of this clothing before I ever put him in it!

With DS we brought him home in a onesie and pants. This baby will come home in a one piece without feet (matching booties come with outfit) and then when we get home we can adjust the snaps to make it a gown.

I brought both of my DDs home in little dresses with bloomers. There was never a problem with the umbilical cord.

This. Both DS' wore pants w/a onesie & DD will wear something similar.
