Which comes last?
After 2.5 years of trying, DH and I suffered a m/c in March. We are currently pregnant again and of course I am super nervous. We went for a 5 week sono on Monday and my doc said he saw a sac and a fetal pole. I see other people on here talking about a yolk, but my doc didn't say anything about that. So which develops last-the yolk or the fetal pole? If I had a fetal pole, do I definitely have a yolk? So confused and worried!

Yes i believe to have a fetal pole you should have a yolk...

It's too soon to see that. That's why most doctors have you wait till you're around 8 weeks -- so it's certain there's a heartbeat or not, certain that there's a sac or not etc... Though even as early as 6 weeks, that stuff is evident. I understand it's so hard not to be nervous though. When do you go back?
And one of the M/C my SIL had, there was a fetal pole and nothing else.

5 weeks is very early, I'm not sure about the answer to your question (sorry!), but I am surprised that you went for a sono so early! My obgyn won't see me until I am 8 weeks along. When is your next visit? I wish & pray the best for you

This is true! Did he/she say gestational sac or yolk sac or just sac? 5 weeks is so early though to see any more than a gestational sac.
