potty preperation question...

A few months ago DD loved her potty & went pee & #2 a few times.
She was only around 20 months so I didn't think she was ready to be trained.
Now that she's 2, I'd like to start training.
When I ask if she wants to try or go with mommy she says no.
I don't want to force her but I really wanted to do this by the end of the summer if possible.
She has a pretty princess potty but I guess it's not exciting anymore.
I showed her a few youtube videos but the were kinda stupid.
We also have a potty book but she's bored of that.
Any tips on how I can get her to like it again?
Is there a particular video or book that seemed to help your DC want to go?

I found with all three of mine that when I forced the issue--taking away all diapers and putting them in underwear--that's when they were trained. When I just casually had the potty out, they'd be interested, then they weren't, etc. They liked Potty Power and an Elmo potty movie, but they didn't really "work." Cold turkey, baby!

Did you do the 3 day training alone? My husband is NEVER home & I feel like that would be hard, messy & frustrating with out someone else there at least 2 full days.
I'll definitely start with the Elmo dvd & then figure out how to do the rest.
