S/O Episiotomy for moms of 2+
Sorry if this is TMI, but if you had an episiotomy for your 1st did you also need one when you had your 2nd?

Had one for #1 and tore more. Did not need one for #2 but did tear a bit and needed a few stitches but not nearly as bad as the first.

S/O Episiotomy for moms of 2+
Had one for both, but it wasn't nearly as painful the second time. Not sure if that is because it wasn't as bad, I pushed less, or the doctor stitched me better, but whatever it was I wasn't in as much pain!

Yes, I had one with both. The first was definitely worse (it was 3rd degree). I'm not sure what degree the second was but it required much less stitching and recovery was a lot better.

Had one for both. First one was 3rd degree no idea what the second one was. Recovery for both was easy. I chalk it up to having an awesome doc

I had an episiotomy with my first and tore pretty badly. With my second (who was a pound and a half heavier!), I didn't have an episiotomy, but did have a very minor tear.
