Surprising HSG results
Had another HSG this morning.
To check tubes since ectopic pg.
It seems, with a lot of dye and tons of pain, they were able to open my LEFT TUBE! I was told that tube was severely scarred from endo and could not be opened.
Guess they were wrong.
My right tube (Where the suspected ectopic was) wasn't showing obvious "Spillover" of dye but it was hard to tell on her little screen. She's gonna look everything over on he main screens and xrays and give final report to my Dr. tomorrow.
All in all, it was a good appointment.
The pain: It felt like the worst AF cramps I have ever had. Ever. Worst part was having to lay still and not curl up and hold your stomach. But, it only hurt while she was injecting (which was a lot to try and open me up) and as soon as she stopped, it stopped.

That's awesome! Where did you go for it? My HSG pissed me off bc the guy was so gentle and didn't push enough through the tube to see if it could be cleared. My RE was pissed. I want a repeat in a few months and do not want to go back to the last place!

I went to Good Samaritan hospital. They have an imaging place there.
They were so sweet from check in til I left. And that radiologist, dr fundt, she was fantastic. She wasn't quitting and as long as I could stand it, she was gonna keep going.
My last hsg was done by my OB while having the lap for endo. She said she couldn't open it that it was too severely scarred from endo (she saw it while she was in there) I guess she didn't try hard enough.
If you need another, I highly recommend going to good sam

OP: Sorry it hurt so bad, but sounds like ti was worth it!!
Lillies: Nassau Radiology in Lake Success do an awesome job w/ HSG's. I have had 2 there and both went smooth and staff have been awesome. GL

Great! Three hours after my HSG i thought i was going to die.......the pain was unbearable and came out of nowhere.

Thanks everyone.
So far so good. Feel a lil uncomfy and light bleeding but I'm ok. I have to expect to be sore. She did a lot of dye and really pushed to open me up.
Can't wait to start trying again
