BTDT Moms, can you help?
My baby is 3.5 months old and he is waking up a few times during the night for the past few days. He has been a good sleeper since 6 weeks, he use to sleep for about 9 hrs during the night but recently he keeps on getting up, two to three times during the night. Each time he wakes up he is hungry, he either drinks 5 or 6 oz bottles. Do you ladies think he is ready for cereal? Perhaps milk is not enough for him, maybe I need to give him cereal?
Any thoughts or suggestions will greatly appreciated! Thank you

It might be a growth spurt? I know Gracie eats like that when she has a growth spurt.

I would start the cereal. I started my son on it at 3 months b/c he was drinking so much formula and from that night on he has slept through the night

Re: BTDT Moms, can you help?
It is probably fine to start cereal, but sometimes babies just go through "waking up" stages. My DS never slept through the night until he was 2 and a half, but DD went through a "waking up" stage that lasted about two weeks every couple of months. The gastro suggested I start my DD on cereal at 8 weeks (believe it or not) to help with her AR, and she did great on it, so I can't imagine that there's any harm in trying with a 3.5 month old. Good luck and I wish you a good night of sleep.

Personally I think it is a little early for cereal - but I would talk to your dr.
Talia started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks and then stopped around three months. I tried EVERYTHING but nothing worked. Then I decided to let her cry it out -and two days later she was sleeping through the night again. That was my experience.
