Anyone have a very difficult/colicky LO#1 and
now they are expecting #2? or #3?
DD was a very difficult newborn. She needed to be 'bopped' ALL.DAY.LONG for about 6 months. She also liked when we did squats, lunges or stairs (OY!). We couldn't even sit and hold her without her crying. And at night just screamed and screamed. Hated the bouncer, the swing, the car seat, everything, and would only let DH and I hold her (no one else) until she was like 9mo! Of course now, she is amazing and a delight, but it was a long journey to get here!
So while I am excited for LO2 (due in 4 weeks), I am also getting kind of scared. Those 6 months were the hardest of my life. The thought of repeating that with a 2 yo in tow...OMG!
ANyone else in the same boat?

Re: Anyone have a very difficult/colicky LO#1 and
My DD1 was very colicky during the day. Se would scream all day long. The only time she wasn't screaming was when I was holding her. She hated the baby carrier. i practically ran back to work when my maternity leave was over. With DD1 I spent a lot of time driving up and down Ocean Parkway because that was the only way she would nap. Almost four months ago I had DD2. She was almost the same as DD1 but now I know how to handle it a little better than I did with DD1. Unfortunately DD2 does not like the swing or the bouncer. She's another one who likes to be schlepped around. She does like the Baby bjorn carrier I have and I started putting her in the jumper. All I can say is that having gone through it with your DD you are better prepared if your new baby should happen to be the same. Your new baby might not be. My DD1 is four now and is a great help with DD2. To get through it I just say this phase won't last forever.

Me! My Dd was extremely fussy and colicky. I thought I was loosing my mind for the 1st year of her life. Now I'm 29 weeks pregnant with #2. I am petrified! The only thing that brings me comfort I that I got through it once, it's only temporary---it doesn't last forever, and I've never heard of anyone having several colicky babies!

Crashing my first had awful colic. They first 5 months were rough. We literally had to run our vacuum almost all day to keep her from screaming. She was on prescription meds for acid reflux went through 5 formulas. My seCond was a breeze. No issues at all a very pleasant baby.

This is what I am hoping! DD will not be pleased if the new LO cries all day long. Whenever we are out and she hears a baby cry, she says "Na na, baby" LOL
