Bridesmaid dress ?
So one of my closest friends is getting married in November- she knew we were TTC and knew I had postponed ordering the BM dress - now that we confirmed that I am pregnant I went in to order it - I will be 7 months at the time of the wedding, so I ordered 3 sizes up - the dress is rather fitted - mermaid style - so I am really hoping that I fit into it when the time comes - otherwise I will have to find a seamstress who works major magic!!
Anyone else go through this??? I am stressing over it already!

Bridesmaid dress ?
I wouldn't stress. That's what the seamstresses are for, you just might need to adjust your undergarments.

Re: Bridesmaid dress ?
I did. I ordered my BM for a Sept. 13' wedding I was a MOH in back in November. I thought I had tons of time but did order a dress 3 sizes bigger then my typical size just in case.
Who knew I'd get preggers a month later and not even be in the wedding lol. However, I will still be using the dress for my cousins wedding next weekend. Even though I ordered it 3 sizes bigger that wasn't enough. I could have easily gone up to a larger size. I'll be basically 7 months at this wedding. I'm also slightly on the small size regarding my bump. I def have one but I feel like it looks more like a 5-6 month bump then a almost 7mo one. My boobs aren't much bigger at all.
My suggestion, go 4 sizes bigger JUST in case. It's a lot easier to take something in then to let it out. I just read that you already ordered it. Don't stress. The seamstress might be able to take leftovers from other of the BM's dresses to make a panel for you. My seamstress has to add a panel in addition to removing some of the boneing.

Re: Bridesmaid dress ?
omg I went through the exact same thing except I will be 8 months pregnant. I had to order my dress 2 weeks after my BFP and I was a size 6. I knew that bridesmaid dresses run small and then the saleswomen made me very nervous about making sure to order a big size because this was my first pregnancy and I didn't know what I would look like at 8 months pregnant. SO I ordered a 24! I was so dumb to think that I would be that big! It's the biggest joke in my family now because 3 of me could fit in it. I had to have 4 fittings to have it taken in so it would look normal on me. The wedding is in 2 weeks and the dress looks great, but my SIL almost killed me when she saw the dress when it first came in...point is don't order it too big but def make sure you will have some extra room.

Bridesmaid dress ?
I was a bridesmaid in a wedding at 9 mos pregnant... I was a 6 before, and I ordered a 22! It had to be taken in but not that much-- only around the boobs. For comparison, or whatever, I am 5'8", and gained around 45 lbs by the end, with a huge baby. So you probably won't need to go up that much, but 3 sizes may not be enough, esp if it is a fitted stye! I tried it on recently and I can fit about 3 of me in it... lol...

Re: Bridesmaid dress ?
thanks ladies....I jsut called and had it changed to go another size up, so 4 sizes total...they don't do alterations at this place so I will have to find a great seamstress either way because I know my boobs won't be going up four sizes haha.
Thanks for the input!!!

Re: Bridesmaid dress ?
I was just in my brothers wedding a few weeks ago at 30 weeks. I originally had the dress in a size 2. Ordered a 10, one quick fx and it was good!

Re: Bridesmaid dress ?
I had a wedding when I was only 2 months but my chest was huge and it was a one shoulder so needed to be taken out. The lady did amazing. Now I have one when I am 4 months. Luckily that one is just fitted in the chest is chiffon and loose so I will be good. If you need a great seamstress the one in Jim Dandy's in Wantagh really worked miracles for me!

Re: Bridesmaid dress ?
You'll be fine. I wasn't that big at 7 months pregnant. And even if you are, you'll just have to order extra fabric and have a panel put into the dress.
