Am I the only one?

My friend keeps talking about all these test shes gonna have done in her pregnancy, and I have read about other girls on the prenancy board having them done too... but I have never even heard of them...

They werent offered to me.. The only one that was- was the AFP- which I refused due to false positives... But supposedly the NT scan is really really accurate (my friend said like 99%- but she tends to over-exaggerate so dont mark me on that)

I prob wouldnt of done any anyway- but not Im starting to question my Dr. and the fact that these tests werent even offered to me...

Am I the only one???

The NT test actually isn't very common here in CO (not sure why) but I had done enough reading to know that I wanted it. I was also screened for Cystic Fibrosis by my first OB when I said I was going to TTC soon. We did the AFP also. But I knew before I got pregnant that I would want every test available that was non invasive and we would take it from there.
It might be worth asking your OB why they don't offer the NT test.

I didn't get anything extra like that...the only tests I got were cervical length checks and a follow-up paps to check for abnormal cells and shortening of the cervix (because I had two LEEPS for severe dysplasia back in 2001)

I figured it was because I was only 27...I never even thought twice about it.
