New to this board... Question??

Was on here briefly a few months ago but then the hurricane hit and were in a hurricane area. Life has been crazy...

Had 2 IVF cycles without implanting. Had to freeze embryos before having surgery to remove an ovarian mass on my,left ovary. A similar mass back a few years ago caused me to lose my right ovary.

Consult with dr- he said to,be proactive with having a baby. My levels, age and down an ovary don't help my situation. Tried a few months on own but didn't work so we didn't wanna waste any time. I'm keeping my 5 frozen embryos frozen for now and trying a couple of fresh cycles first.

So I decided to start this journey with an IUI with Femara and HCG shot. I go in tomorrow morning for IUI. If this doesn't work I'm going to ask to do another IUI with injectables. The surgery saved my ovary but screwed up my cycle.

Those doing Or did IUI, what did you do? Clomid? femara, injections? How many times did it take to to get pregnant doing an IUI. We did you go to IVF?

Welcome back. Sorry about what you are dealing with regarding the hurricane and failed IVFs. Our diagnosis is Unexplained Infertility. So far we did 3 IUIs with Clomid and HCG. I had 3-4 follicles each cycle but all were BFN. Now I am on IUI #4, my first with injects. I'm using Gonal- F. If this doesn't work we will do 2 more IUIs with injects and then on to IVF. Any questions about IUI just ask. Good luck with everything.

Thanks. This is quite a process and journey. Just did IUI so well see how this one turns out. Going to go right to IUI with injectibles if this doesn't work. Good luck with you too!

Sorry you are going through this! On top of everything it must be extremely difficult! I have done 5 IUIs with Clomid and doing an injectable IUI cycle later this month. If this fails then we are doing IVF next cycle. We have unexplained infertility. I have a blocked right tube(or at least that's what they think) I don't want anymore testing to find out. It is pointless since its inoperable where it is. I did get pregnant on my first IUI but it ended in a chemical. Hope your stay here is short!!

I did 6 IUI's with clomid or femara before moving onto IVF. My insurance requires 6 before they covered IVF.
