Speaking of countertops - rec your quartz installers please

Just called the Ikea vendor All Island MICA. They can't get out to our house to do a template until Friday May 31 and then it will take 14 days for them to create and install the counter.

Is this normal? We were told you cannot call them until all the cabinets and appliances are installed, but we were led to believe the counter would be in and installed in about a week.

I can't live without a kitchen sink for much longer and I think this timeline is insane.

Does anyone have someone they would recommend who can do this faster?

We just had ours done last week. When it looked like our cabinets and appliances would be done in a few days I called for the template appt. I got one for about 4 days out. Then it took about 10 days for the install.

(When you go through ikea, they come and make the template and measure, then they submit the paperwork and measurements BACK to Ikea for approval. We had to pay an extra $40, but the girl approved our paperwork immediately due to the low amount due and it was about a week from their approval)

ETA: ALL appliances, sink and cabinets must be in place so they can take an accurate measurement/template. They actually take the sink with them to cut the quartz.
