How to prepare for a c-section
I will be setting up my c-section date on Friday (baby is Breech)
Anything I should do to prepare - will I need anything special after?

Granny Panties!
I don't really think I needed anything special, by the time I got out of the hospital I was doing good, getting around good. It just hurt to get out of bed, but my bed is very hig, and I felt like I had to roll to get out.
Good Luck!

Re: How to prepare for a c-section
I second the granny panties. The kind that come up at least to your belly button. You don't want anything that sits on your incision. Also, some stretchy-type pants. They'll help hold you in. I know I felt a lot better when I had them on in the hospital. To be quite honest, I can't think of much more right now. I was really surprised at how good I felt even the day after I had the surgery. I was up and walking around. My advice to you is the same advice that was given to me: TAKE ALL THE PAIN MEDS THEY OFFER YOU. Even if you think you feel fine, take them. You will find it easier to get up and moving around, which is really important.

Re: How to prepare for a c-section
Comfy slippers for your long walks around the hallway. (gets the gas up.)
A hair band for your hair. (If you have long hair) Your face will be itchy as hell after the c-section. (anesthesia) So, if your hair is off your face it's less annoying.
I third the granny panties.

Bring your own pads, drawstring pants, granny undies and slippers.

Re: How to prepare for a c-section
If you plan of BF get the boppy pillow. I had it in the hospital and it helped immensely!!
Also, I had a bag of snacks for late night when I was hungry. That helped a lot too.
The day after the C is the worst. After that I felt a lot better each day.

I agree with this. I didn't find my c-section to be bad at all, plus you will really know no other way of giving birth, KWIM As soon as they let you get up do it and walk around. The faster you get up the beter you will feel
