I need a babysitter

Can anyone recommend a good babysitter in the Commack area? I'm just looking for someone who can watch the baby for a few hours at a time. TIA

I don't know a babysitter, as I live in Westchester. But, we have had really good luck calling the local high school. A lot of schools have child development/childcare classes and "certify" the students. They also give them recommendations. That might be a good place to start. Good luck!

You may want to post something at Suffolk CC in the early childhood area... I got a babysitting job that way once.

are you looking for weekends or during the week?

When I was babysitting I did it through the church we went to and most people found me there. I can check out the bulletins (my sister still goes there) and get some info for you.

I literally just hired a mother's helper, like the second I saw this I had gotten off the phone. Granted she's my cousin , but I can see if she's interested in doing more. She's 18 and works mornings, but has afternoons free. Let me know if you're interested.
