constipated..i dont know what to do..she is 6 days old..and when i was done withthe hospital formula i changed to the powder..she was crying so much on monday that i changed back to the premade bottles..she seems to be doing fine..but the other day she pooped hard balls. i know that is a sign of constipation..but do i just wait it out since i switched back to the premade(which she was doing fine on.)? she hasnt pooped since 10pm last night..is that ok?

There really isn't much doctors will allow you to do - since she is so young and it really hasn't been that long since she pooped (less than 24 hours). Doctors say its completely normal for a newborn to go 2-3 days without pooping - as long as she has wet diapers and isn't in pain.

Give it some more time.....her little tummy is adjusting. If she isn't is pain - everything is fine. But if it will ease your mind - give the doctor a call.
