I never had a miscarrage but I am pretty sure brown blood means old blood and it isn't a sign of a MC. Sticky Vibes to your friend

Re: for those of you who MC
did she take a test? that definately sounds like it could just be implantation bleeding. Most that M/C bleed very heavy.

Re: for those of you who MC
When I had my M/C it started with dark brown spotting for a day, no other symptoms, no cramps or anything. I had some cramping the next day and then later some red spotting about 36 hours - 2 days later. I never bled heavily at all and I didnt need a D & c either. Each person is sooo different.
With my first PG I bled heavily through out it and it never affected the baby.
spotting of any color can mean nothing or an impending a m/c ...so hard to tell unfortunatly.

I would be on the less worried side. Usually once a M/c is started it continues , or at least for me, it started back up within 2 days.
I would say a Dr should do a beta, or sono for peace of mind, but it sounds like from an un expert point of view of course that it is nothing to worry about.

Re: for those of you who MC
When I had a miscarriage - the only symtpom I had was brown spotting for a few days that then went away. I had no other symptoms. I only knew once the Dr. did another U/s.
I wish your friend the best.

Re: for those of you who MC
With my miscarriage I had no spotting at all- just found out with ultrasound. My SIL had spotting (brown) for months- up to 18 wks and it having a perfectly healthy baby girl in three months.
