CIO help
So dd cried for 40 min and finally is asleep. im a wreck, but she's finally asleep. i did not go in at all, just let her cry. what do i do if she wakes up in the middle of the night? ( she normally wakes every hour!!). Do I pick her up and comfort her or do I continue to let her CIO?

How old? I say let her CIO. I'd probably let her cry for 3-5 min then go in to comfort and let her hear your voice. Maybe rub her head quick, mommy loves you then let her go another 5. I have to do this with my girls every once in awhile. They are 5.5 mo.

She's 8 months and for the past three months she's been waking up about every hour. I'm just so drained. Doesn't take a paci.

CIO help
Based on the fact that you didn't go in at all when you started I think you should wait a while before going in at night.
I started with the intervals and it made my DD way more upset so I stopped. She never cried longer than 20 mins.
The second night of CIO was worse than the first. But by the third she got the hang of it. And now a few weeks in she is doing great, doesn't even cry when I put her down.
Good luck, I know how hard it is.

CIO help
I would continue to let her CIO. It is so hard to do, I know. But in a day or two it will be so much better and so worth it. I hate doing CIO but that's what it took for all of us to get good sleep. And in the end, I think my DS is better off learning to fall asleep on his own. And now he goes down without any fuss and STTN. Hang in there!

CIO help
I would let her CIO in the middle of the night too.
With DS I found that if he woke in the middle of the night the length of time he would cry was much much shorter.
It was usually the first part of the night that was the hardest.

I would wait 3-5min, go in for 1min - not pick her up - just rub her head or tummy, let her know you're there, and walk back out. then, up to you, either do that every 10-15min or just let her CIO.
