baby hits head 15 months
I read its normal but it seems to be more often than I'd like. He hits head with hands and also bangs head on floor, wall, high chair when frustrated, some times I can tell he thinks its funny too..looks with a half smile for a reaction.
Interested to hear your experience with this?

baby hits head 15 months
I have a young family member that bangs his head, but he has developmental issues. He will do it to the point of it bleeding. If he is meeting all of his milestones, I wouldn't worry about it, probably just a phase!

I would probably call your Dr & see what he says. It sounds like it could be something. But Like Bargainmama said..maybe a phase.

My son does this alot (He's 10 months old). Its like he tests out new surfaces by banging his head into them hehe. His daycare provider said that all the boys she has watched over the years seem to do this a ton, but none of the girls do. Must be a boy thing!

Some kids do this as a behavior thing.... how do you react when he does it? What prompts the behavior? Is he upset/ getting reprimanded for something? Typical children will stop when they realize it hurts enough and don't get the reaction from their caregiver they want. One of my friend's child does this and his mom makes a big deal over it so he continues to do it.
It is usually a way of trying to control their environment. If they are doing it and don't seem to stop at the onset of real pain then I would talk to your pediatrician.

Dd will be 3 I. may and she since she was little has hit her head on the floor, crib, table during tantrums. It was an attention seeking thing and a lack of communication thing. She talked a bit late. When it was really bad, a really bad phase we set up the pack n play and put her I there so she wouldn't hurt herself. That came along with huge tantrums.
She still does it every now and again. It's sad, and fraustrating

One of my twins is all about controlling their environment. she dosen't bang her head, but she makes herself throw-up. We do our best not to react to it. She also would ripp at her sisters hair to see our reaction, so we stopped reacting and it stopped. HTH My twins are 17m adjusted
