Brushing teeth
Whe did you start brushing your baby's teeth? My DD is 12 months and has 6 teeth. I have cleaned them with a washcloth but wondering if I should start using a toothbrush.

Brushing teeth
My DS started about 9 months and now at 15 months he does it himself. He loves it. Its part of the mornign routine....brush your teeth with daddy!!!!

Thank you! Do you use toothpaste? A friend of mine does and then I have heard you shouldn't yet.

yes the training toothpaste. I can't remeber the brand but it is apple bananna flavored. Which is probably why he loves to brush his teeth.

Brushing teeth
DD got her first teeth by 5 months so the ped told us to start then. We used a finger brush and training toothpaste at first and recently switched to a regular brush at 11 months.

We started with finger brushes and baby/toddler toothpaste when my kids first got teeth. All 4 kids got their first teeth at 3 months old and 4 months old.

Brushing teeth
We used a finger brush right when they got their first teeth. Switched to a regular toothbrush once they had about 4+ teeth. Our ped recommended no toothpaste till age 2. Then, fluoride free toothpaste until they learn to spit and not swallow.

Brushing teeth
Our pediatrician said no toothpaste at this age. My twins are 17 m. The idea is just getting them used to putting in there mouth
