If you waited to pierce your DD ears ....
I waited. Wanted to wait until she was old enough and make it her decision. Well...she's 3 1/2 and has been asking for months.
I thought she would ask when she was atleast 7 
Would you take her now ?
I've told her it hurts. She says she wants holes in her ears & little heart earrings.

Yep and I did. I also thought they would be at least 5/6 when they asked. My older one asked at 3, my younger one started asking at 2.5ish. I got them pierced just over 3 for both. They were thrilled. They picked out their earrings, Had a special day, handled it well and were so proud and happy afterwards.

This is exactly why i want to wait but family keeps telling me "just do it already"  I will wait so that she can have her special day...And if its so painful for her that shes horrified to ever get another piercing ever again, so be it

yes, my daughter started asking when she was a couple months before turning 3. We took her and she was so happy (and did great). I was planning on waiting till she was 5 or 6, figuring she would ask then. She is a girly girl though when it comes to things like that. Since everyone around her has pierced ears, she wanted them too.

I decided to let both my girls decide if they wanted it done.
My oldest is 5 now and has stated she doesn't want it done for the past two years. She has been adamant that she doesn't want them for as long as I can remember.
My youngest is only 2, but if she asks at 3 1/2 then we will let her do it.

I didn't wait but...
I was wondering if you can make it a special day for the two of you.
If she has a bday coming up, maybe do it a week or so before the big day... this way she also has a bit of a "reveal" at her party.

My dd is 33 months and wants them. I think we're gonna wait until her 3rd bday. I want it to be a special day. I said from the beginning I'd take them when and if they asked.
