christening favors
We are having food /party in our home after the baptism and decided in lieu of giving out favors we will be announcing that we are donating to St. Jude Children's hospital. Do you think people will be annoyed that they are not taking anything home with them?

I did not do favors. They are a waste of money IMO. And I did nothing in lieu of.

I think that's perfect. Unless they are edible I won't take favors home. I think they are a waste of space and just collect dust till I throw them out.

I think that's fine. If you want to do something small and inexpensive, you can do chocolate pretzel rods. And then the tags can explain the donation.
