Transition to crib

Hi Everyone. It looks like my 23 month old is ready for a toddler bed as he has been climbing out of his crib for the last 3 nights and into mine. I was thinking of ways to make him going into his big boy toddler bed exciting. I was going to go to and get him new bedding with Elmo and a book about "Elmo Sleeps in his big Bed." Any other ideas...... My son is stubborn and now only wants to sleep with me.

Put up a baby gate in the doorway. The child needs to stay in his room. If you dont stop it in...will turn into a BIGGER PROBLEM

Maybe instead of him coming into your room you can have him call you and you can lay with him in HIS bed until he falls back asleep?

We just did this transition 2 weeks ago. We just close his door. He doesn't know how to open it yet. He's been good at night, but for naptime if I hear him out of bed I go in and put him in bed (actually he usually runs and gets in on his own). Yesterday it only took 20 minutes for him to give up and fall asleep, down from 1.5 hrs last week.

Just be consistent and don't let him in your bed if you don't want him in there!
