Going for 3??? BTDT please come in...
At this moment in time I have two wonderful sweet children (most of the time ) My DD is 4 and DS is going on 2. Our finances aren't great but getting better. The question is do we go for #3? Also if we do, do we wait till DS is 5 to save on daycare (he'd be in kindergarten ) or do we do it next year and have them closer in age?? Anyone face similar situation???

No one can give you an optimal time to have a DC. But in my mind I would want to have a financial cushion in place before starting to try to have a third child. Of course if you are older and time is not on your side, that is a consideration too. Then you have to think, have you saved for your retirement? Are you planning on helping your kids with college? Will having a third impact any long term goals? Can you make due with less? You have to decide what is a priority for your family and your families needs.

I say go for it. Mine are 5,3,1 and going from 2 to 3 was almost a breeze compared to 1 to 2.. .Certainly takes us a lot longer to get out of the house in the mornings but I love that we have instant playdates everyday and knowing how much they love each other.

I'm always thinking about this too (although DH says he's DONE). Mine are now almost 1 and 3. I'm hoping to (convince DH) have a 3rd when they are 3 and 5. Older DD will be in school fulltime and younger DD will be in a 3s program a few days a week. I think I'd go NUTS with 3 home all the time (and I work part time lol)...

I think you need to think more of the future and not just now also.
Will you be able to run 3 kids around in 3 different directions?
Will you have the finances for 3 kids in school who "need" something every week?

Going for 3??? BTDT please come in...
I am going to try when kids are 5 and 3. I would rather be stable with money and have kids more self sufficient. They will close no matter their age if you raise them that way. My oldest sister is 6 yrs older than me and we were always close.

My kids were 3 and when my 3rd was born and its fantastic
We were on the fence as well. Things were easier, finances were getting better but I always wanted 3
dont get me wrong,,,its not easy but I wouldnt trade my daughter face for anything in the world
