did you put something down to protect the top of the dresser from the changing pad?

and did you nail the straps to the back of the dresser so it wouldnt move?

I put down that foam shelf liner to keep the pad from sliding around. We did nail it in the back but it still moved all over. I also just make sure the straps are tucked into the cover so they don't scratch the dresser.

Our furniture set had a wooden piece that attached to the top of the dresser and then the changing pad sat inside of that.

My dresser came with a changing piece, but just a warning. the whoel front of my dresser is chipped from leaning against it.

We bought the attachment that went with the set. It has rubber protectors underneath and has straps that attach it to the back of the dresser. I know most people never have an issue but I wasn't comfortable with just putting the pad on top of the dresser with nothing really securing it.

Although the changing pad does slip a little bit, it's never caused a problem. We usually keep it from sliding too much by pushing it in with our bellies though.

We put foam shelf liners under the legs and nailed it to the back. We have the bellini slide tip top changer though, so it would have tipped if it wasn't anchored.

No, we didn't put anything down in between the pad and the dresser. We have the Serta Contour Pad and it has a non-skid bottom. It doesn't slide and the dresser is just fine.

I didnt put anything down or nail it down. I put the straps underneath inside the cover so it wouldnt scratch the dresser. Never had an issue with it moving until now. Shes 8 1/2 months and is sooo mobile but before this when she was an infant and didnt move, no issues.

We put one of the baby blankets we got in the hospital underneath it....this was a suggestion from the guy at Behrs

we did nail in the snaps or whatever connects the pad to the back of the dresser but there is nothing underneath it. I didn't expect the dresser to last forever (ikea) and scratches are the least gross thing that could happen I figure so no worries :) Plus the pad we put over the changing pad provides enough coverage on the bottom that I don't think it'd scratch up anything for the most part.

We have it nailed to the back but we do not have anything under the pad. You could always put a baby blanket underneath it. That is what I have under the basket with the diapers, cream, etc.

Ditto. We suck too lol. I heard the non slip mat can stick to the wood and leave marks on the furniture so I didn't go that route... Just keep an eye on baby and have some common sense and you'll be fine.

We don't have anything underneath it, but we did nail it to the back. We don't use it that often since we have another changing table downstairs.

I had a nonstick mat under it and it did leave marks on the wood from sticking, so don't do it!
