Disney with a 8-9mo old

DH and I go to Disney every year and were thinking of going towards the end of October/beginning of November for the Food and Wine Festival. DS will be about 8-9 months old. For those of you who have been to Disney with a baby where did you stay?? We usually stay at the Swan/Dolphin outside of Epcot but was wondering if there was someplace more "kid friendly" that people would recommend. I know it's Disney and it is technically all "kid friendly" but I'm thinking more about the comfort factor with everything we'll have to bring with us for DS as well as ease of access to the parks.

We stayed at Swan this summer with my 1 and 3 y/o and we thought it was super easy b/c of ferry access. Unless you stay on the monorail it is a lot to load the stroller in and out of busses all day long. So i say wither ferry or monorail access is best.

We stayed at the contemporary with a 7 month old, 23 month old, 4 yr old and 5 yr old. The convenience of the monorail is second to none!

That said, if I only had the baby, I dont think we would have stayed there. Hes easy and just goes with the flow, it was more of a convenience for the other ages.

We went with a 10 month old and stayed off property. We mostly did that b/c we went with a big group.

If we had stayed on property I would have tried to do a monorail resort for the convenience.

I was there last year during the end of the food and wine festival. Weather was amazing. 80 during the day. DS was just over 10 months. We swam everyday. We took him to the Mickey Chirstmas party and he loved it. He was wide eyed at everything.

We stayed offsite at Orange Lake. We had a 2 bed/2bath condo with full kitchen. Had a car. Loved beign able to eat at home and not do the Disney thing all the time.

We just got back from Disney with out 15 month old and had a great time. We stayed at the Polynesian, which was perfect! The convenience of having the monorail right there was ideal. Taking your stroller on and off the bus constantly is a pain imo. They have a private beach you can watch the fireworks from and the pool areas are great. The room was a good size and we had no problems at all. I would also suggest bringing a baby carrier (like the ergo) with you for the parks. It was really helpful to have the option for ds to fall asleep while we waited on lines and such since in most cases you need to park your stroller.
