Straw cups- help

Lets talk straw cups!!!! Many months ago I started my girls on playtex straw cups. we bought the insulated ones because I didnt see the little grippers. They are great, but the girls can not hold them in one hand. We have also only ever put water in them. Now a few months later we are also using the little grippers. They can hold them in one hand. We loved them and bought 3 sets for the twins. However, we are now drinking milk from them. There is milk EVERYWHERE. It constantly shoots out the straw. I know this is because of the temperature of the milk and the pressure change as it starts to warm up. Is there anyway around this??? Or do I need to spend more $$$$ on different cups.

Try not tightening the top so much. Or after a bit twist it open a bit and see if that helps.

Ugh! We have the same problem and its so annoying! My twins then think its funny and turn their cups upside down and shake them!

I have no idea - I used to swear by the Playtex Little Gripper straw cups, but the last few that I bought all did the same thing. I don't know if they changed something with the straws/valves, but they are awful now. I fill the cup, twist the top shut & milk shoots out the straw (no matter how much or how little I have in there). I've tried a few other brands and haven't had much luck with them either...good luck finding something. If you do, please let me know!

I have come to despise the Playtex straw cups - both insulated and little gripper. I have a cheapie Elmo cup a friend bought (don't even know the brand) and the thing does not leak a drop of liquid. It's my favorite cup. I did have Tommee Tippee insulated straw cups at one point and those were great - barely any leaking from what I can remember. I'm planning to replace all of DDs cups this weekend with the Tommee Tippee ones since Playtex doesn't sell replacement straws for their cups.

I tried every straw cup out there when my DD was younger and no matter what........milk was always a problem. Juice and water, no issues. Milk would always dribble and leak no matter what cup I used. Verrrrrry annoying.
