Too many cooks in the kitchen?
I would really like for DH and I to get away together for a long weekend- Friday to Monday. The thing is, neither of our families will take the boys that entire time. They would basically have to be passed around almost nightly.  Would you do that if it was the only way to make it happen? I'm going to attempt to have people stay here, if possible, as much as I can. But I know no one will do more then one night.

Yes! If you can figure out a way to make it happen then go for it. Truth is your kids will be fine and not even think twice about being watched by 3 diff people. They'd probably like all the excitement lol. But I agree that you should try to keep them in their own home instead of bouncing around.

when we did it, Fil took dd for 1 night then dropped her off at my mom's for 2 nights. That was the first time we ever left her for that long and she didn't even care. She just went with it.
I think you will be fine. Try and stay in your house or make it as easy as possible for people to drop off or pick up from others houses.

I would do whatever it took
But given that you have 2 boys, what about splitting them up? That way they each get individual attention for a few nights & it may be easier on the people watching them.

Even if we split them up there is no one who would take them for three nights. I think I'm going to try to get my sister, my SIL and my MIL to each stay one night at my house. And if needed, they can sleep at my moms one night, because I know she won't stay here- my bed is too high for my dad to get in and out of.

We did this. We went on a trip and my ds had three sets of caregivers. It's an adventure for them and they get to see some of their favorite people all in a row.
