BM + Alcohol
Last night my DH and friends took me out dancing for my birthday and I had a few drinks. Didn't get drunk but did get tispsy.
I pumped as soon as I got home and threw out that milk. I'm pumping as I write and don't know if I should throw this one out as well. When does my body clear from all the alcohol?

Pump and dump is a myth. It takes about 2 hours for your body to clear 1 drink out of your system and then you can BF again.

So if I had about 5 drinks, does it take 10 hours for my body to clear??
Sorry if it's a stupid question, but I don't want my baby getting any of the alcohol.

Do you feel hung over or anything? As long as you feel back to normal you should be fine. The alcohol is processed out of your milk the same way it leaves your bloodstream.

I actually bought alcohol test strips for the few times I have had drinks (plural). If I have a glass of wine I don't use them I just wait. It's more like when I have 2+beers or 2+ glasses of wine I use the test strips am finding it takes about 3 hrs to clear my milk. Hard alcohol takes longer. Yesterday I had 2 strong margaritas and actually felt fine 2 hours later but it wasn't completely cleared. I am sure would have been fine but dumped anyway!
I'd say 10 hours is def enough time!
