We went yesterday. DD is 4 and obsessed with all animals.
It's mostly vendors and rescue/ adoPtion groups.
I think DD pet every dog there.
There are also pigs, alpacas, birds, ferrets, cats.
There is a petting zoo ( you have to pay extra, we paid $10 for three of us) they give you lettuce and carrots to feed the rabbits, hamsters, pigs, goat, chickens, frogs, turtles, lizards.
There is a reptile thIng that is extra too but we didn't do that bc I hate snakes and bugs.
There are also shows. We watched the dog agility, dancing dogs, and parade of breeds.
If you go on the website there is a schedule of events and you can print coupons.
For us it was worth it. DD loves animals.

3 and under is free. DD turns 4 in April so we got lucky there. Tell them your 4 year old is three.

I think it really depends on what you are looking to get out of it. If you are looking to adopt a puppy or dog there were lots of them. If you are looking to shop for toys and supplies there is very little. We went yesterday and thought it was small and a little pricey (12. per person unless you have the coupon). I remember when it was at the coliseum and it was much cooler. A huge variety of pets, supplies and innovative products so in that regard for us it was a big step down.

The pony rides and petting zoo were cute. There are a couple of vendors with game booths like throwing darts at balloons or throw balls in a bowl to win a goldfish type booth.

You get through it pretty quick. It was fairly busy when we were there and I have a double stroller so it was not easy to get past some of the isles and it was hard to see some of the booths because they are very small. The babies didn't get to see much from their stroller.

I really enjoyed watching the agility demonstration and found out the place is close to me so I think we are going to take some classes and try our hand at agility.
