Food question...when did you start...
Giving cheerios? Yogurt? Pastina?

Food question...when did you start...
You can start as soon as you feel child is ready...cheerios you can start early. The baby in commerical looks so young. I would say maybe 8 months. The same with yogurt.
Pastina I would wait until closer to 1yr

I gave cheerios around 7.5 months. The ped suggested yogurt at 8 months and I think I gave pastina at 9 months.

about 7 months for cheerios...started in half and week later was chowing down on whole thing
yogurt was about ~9 mo
pastina ~8 months

Never gave cheerios. Yogurt was 8 months I believe, pastina aroubd 7 months.

I think we started yogurt somewhere around 7 or 8 months. We didnt do cheerios for a long time, but puffs are great! I think we tried that around 7 months. and I dont remember pastina at all, but if you think your DC is ready you can try it.

For my third baby, i won't be giving cheerios for sure. Not sure what pastina is lol. Maybe I will give real cooked rice after one year. Same with yogurt.

Yogurt was 6-7 months. We mixed pastina into purees here and there around 7 months to give them texture. Cheerios we started around 9 months.

DD is 8.5 months. Haven't started Cheerios yet, but she loves puffs. I'm more comfortable with them because they dissolve. We tried pastina once around 7 months and she didn't like it, but I'm going to try again soon. She can't have yogurt yet due to a milk protein allergy, but her pediatrician said that we will discuss trying some dairy at her 9 month visit.

Dd has 6 teeth and actually uses them. She also has a pretty good chewing instinct, so we gave cheerios early - probably 6.5-7 months. Pastina and yogurt we started at 8 months.
She's a little over 8 months and there is nothing I won't give her except for peanut butter and honey. And I've been told to avoid eggs - but I don't read labels to see if things have egg in them. I just don't give her actual eggs yet.

Egg yolks are ok, just the whites may be allergenic. Many cultures around the world feed their babies egg yolks. It's a great brain food!
