Diaper Bags- how old were your kids when you "down-sized"?

Lately I've been trying to squeeze things into a tote bag style pocketbook. I have a 4 and 2yr old. However, if we're out for a longer period of time I feel like I need to switch everything back into the bigger diaper bag because I have to carry a few extra things-just in case. I guess I'm in a transition stage lol

I used my regular, big diaper bag until my DD was about 3.5 then I didn't need it anymore. She was potty trained, I threw her snacks in my pocketbook, and she carried her own sippy cup.

By the time my daughter was 1 1/2 or 2 (I only have one), I'd downgraded from the big diaper bag to a large purse and something like this. I throw a sippy and snack in my bag and we were good to go most days.
