Moms of 2-3 year olds
What kind of activities do you have your 2-3 year olds involved in? So far (for the Spring) we have DS enrolled in soccer with Soccer Tots…. and 2 programs at Benner’s Farm in East Setauket. But obviously these programs are short lived…lasting anywhere from 4-8 weeks. DH and I love to participate in fun programs like this with DS so we’re always looking for new ideas.

I live OOS so I may not be of help but our county puts out a recreation booklet each month (guessing the towns on LI might do the same?) with classes. We've done a fitness class together when she was really little, gymnastics, cooking class, and art class and she LOVES.

I work FT, so most of the time I will invent something during the weekend for us to do as a family (museum, farm, zoo, firehouse, etc). If not that, there is a birthday party or family function to go to.
We do a Gymboree class with him religiously. It's been great for him & enough. It also allows us to do other things because it's early in the AM.

He is going to looooove Benners Farm Li. I've been taking Emerson there since last spring. I just enrolled her again in two things for this upcoming spring. They have such a nice program and do great things with the kids. 
Did you check out your library for summer stuff? I know our library has a TON of programs and shows in the summer. Some are even open to non residents, especially all the shows and performances on the lawn outside. I would look into that. The library programs give us something to do every week all summer long.

DS is 3 and in daycare full time so he's only signed up for swimming lessons currently.
Our area doesn't offer programs like soccer tots unfortunately.

Thanks everyone. We did Benner's Farm last year with him for the Spring and Fall sessions and we all absolutely loved it. Soccer will be a new venture for us though.
Oh I LOVE the idea of cooking classes!!! I think he'd love that!!

I *think* Michaels might have some arts and crafts classes too. And Home Depot has all those kid classes but I am not sure how young they go down to. Worth checking out though.

Where is the soccer tots program located?
My sister did it with her son when he was little and they loved it. I believe the program is held at several locations. Click me- Soccer Tots

DS is 2.5 and he goes to Gymboree 1 or 2x a week, and his nanny takes him to Krazy Kidz once a week usually. When my parents watch him on Wednesdays, they take him to the library. In the fall, we are enrolling him in a 3-year-old preschool program which is 2.5 hours twice a week (drop-off).
We went to Benner's Farm for a birthday party last fall and I thought it was so cute! What kind of program do they have? What are the activities?

DD only goes to gymnastics 1x a week, and that's it. We try to have playdates but I do take her everywhere with me so she gets enough activity that way 
ETA: Starting in September she will be in preschool 3 days a week for 2.5 hours a day, and that runs through June. If we can afford it she will continue to do gymnastics 1x a week.

My dds go to a Gymboree class. A kindermusik separation class, a class at the local zoo, and they were doing gymnastics but we stopped with all the confusion after sandy

We LOVE the program at Benner's Farm. It's so much fun! They have different classes for this kids depending upon their age. They do so many cute things to teach the children about the farm.. Last year we got to hold some baby animals, we milked a goat, planted bean plants (which we took home at the end of the 4 weeks), picked fresh strawberries, picked pumpkins, went on tractor rides, fed the animals, made fresh apple sauce....we even picked eggs from the chicken coop and made fresh egg salad which we had at snack time. It's really a wonderful program! I highly recommend it. I am a FTWM and they had a later class (starting at 4:30) which worked out well for us.

We have done the following classes:
Gymnastics
Swimming
Ice Skating
Art
Music
This summer I plan on taking her to:
Yoga, Dance, Art, Swimming, and possibly soccer classes. ETA: She has preschool three mornings a week. Skating ended last week. I have yet to enroll her in a spring class, but will likely look for an art or yoga class.

I live in NJ, but DS is 27 months. We do The Little Gym class (which he loves and has been so good for him!!), We do the library (really cute for a free thing!), and I also got a Groupon for a "mommy and me " class at an indoor play place near me, which has been really fun, too.
We also will do playdates once in awhile.
He seems happy and stimulated LOL
I did sign him up for Nursey School coming up in September. Its 2 days a week, for 2.5 hours each time and i think hes gonna love it! (and I'm gonna lvoe the little break HAHA)
