When is the best time to pierce them?

We did it at 6 mths at the ped's office. She was not aware, cried a bit and was soothed by her bottle. I can't imagine having done I when she was older.

We also did 6m as a spur of the moment thing when we saw someone else getting them done at the mall. She cried for about 20 seconds and hasn't had a second thought with them since. I thought she would pull a little at them or feel them as they healed but nothing.. its like they aren't even there.

Ideally I would have liked to do them at the peds office but mine stopped doing them a few weeks prior and said the mall would be fine just watch everything comes out of packages and was wiped down before.

I think my nieces had it done at the ped at 4 months old

we did my DD's when she was 2.10 years. I wanted to do it when she was a baby but me and my DH weren't ready. She started asking for them around 2.5 years so I figured it was the right time. She did great, first ear she didn't say a word, second ear she said ouch and then smiled LOL.

The pedi pierced my DD ears at 6 months and she screamed, but only for about 30 seconds. She never played with them or had any issues.
