Question for moms who buy organic
When you're buying meat does it have to have the USDA seal on it?
I notice at mostly all the grocery stores they have meat/poultry that doesn't have the USDA seal, but it says no antibiotics/hormones ever, fed veg diet etc. I see they sell meats like this at whole foods as well. Do any organic moms buy these?

some of the meat is antiobiotic / hormone free but not certified organic. I try to buy organic and if they don't have then i buy the hormone / antiobiotic free. Whole foods also has a scoring system from 1 - 5 on the environment the animal came from. I try to buy the highest i can, which i can usually find 2 or 3.

Does it say "organic" anywhere on the package? If not, then it is not organic. While the animal may not have been given hormones or antibiotics, it still may have been given non-organic GMO feed.
