Advice please. Liivf patient

I had my first appt yest n i feel sooo overwhelmed!! I have to get the inital bloodwork done n so does dh. My cycle day 3 will b sat/sunday.. I will drive to melville bc the lake success is not open on weekends. What actually occurs on this day? The dr said somethin bout clomid so im assuming im starting right away?
Also could i get my blood drawn there for the initial panel of bloodwork or do i have to get to a lab?

Also did anyone do the hsg test beofre semen analysis. The nurse said to wait till next cycle bc they want results from my dh BUT i will b away during the time id have to get into the office. I just dont want to miss out on a cycle

Thanks for reading all of this.. Just sooo much!

Chances are you will not do clomid this cycle. I would think they want all the tests back before starting anything. I think we did the HSG and the SA at around the same time.

Its usually a cycle of testing and then start any protocol.

I agree with PP. I don't think they start medicated cycles until they have all the answers. CD3 visit is usually bloodwork to check hormone levels and an ultrasound to measure the lining and any follicles that may be developing. Clomid is usually the first place they start for most women, although I have heard of other women starting on others. Most RE offices do the bloodwork in their offices and they get results within a few hours. I did the initial bloodwork, sono, HSG, endometrial biopsy, and dh did SA all in the beginning before we started medications.

Good Luck!!!!!
