Sleeping through the Night

When your LO slept through the night, was it a one time thing or was it from then on pretty consistent?

DD almost slept through the night last Tues and then slept from 11:30 - 6 am on Wed!
Since then, she's been back to her old routine and last night was a very bad night - extra waking up.

She is only 7 weeks today, so I know it's super early to sleep through the night.

Did your kids sleep through the night sporadically before it became regular?

My DD is five months, and she still goes from sleeping 9/10 hrs to only sleeping 3hrs! Although the longer sleeps are starting to become more often now. TG!! So for us it's still not consistent

DD started sleeping through the night around that age, but it was inconsistent for about 2 weeks when she first started. Since then, she has consistently slept all night. Good luck!

You don't want to hear my answer! DD STTN once around 3 months and once around 9 months. Other than that she's up 1-2 times a night.

Sleeping through the Night

My dD is four months and it's been getting better and better but she does sometimes have nights where she doesn't sleep as long or wakes up in the middle of the night. It's starting to be pretty common for her to sleep 8 or 9 hour stretches, but a couple nights ago she only slept 6 hrs before waking for a feeding. And then last night she slept almost 10 hrs, her best yet! Although she did wake up crying at one point but settled back to sleep on her own after a couple minutes. Sometimes though she needs me to go in and nurse her or rock her to go back to sleep.

Mine are pretty sporadic although dd is a bit more consistent and sleeps at least 5 hours . Ds is all over the map and has been for the past 6 weeks or so when they dropped the 3 am feeding (usually). They're 10 weeks now.

dd is 4.5 months....there are nights where she will sleep 8-5 but nights where she will be up every hour on the hour just whining or wanting her paci....so its not consistent here yet either. we did drop the middle of the night feeding though as per her ped's recommendation, and she doesn't cry to eat. she's just up!

for us it was very inconsistent. it literally went something like:
prior to 3m did not STTN
3-4m STTN most nights
4-5m almost never STTN
5-6 STTN 5 or so nights a week
6-7m completely random
after 7m+ pretty much always STTN

ds has slept through the night a handful of times. He is almost 7 months old and i am grateful he sleeps4-5. If he eats all his dinner then he is usually up after 6 hours- then again 3-4 hours later. I was told not to nurse him, but he just sits and cries and he usually will latch then unlatch just asquick- almost as if he is thirsty, then goes back to bed. every so often he will be up more than that, kinda like last night.. i was told it gets better, and usually by 1 year, they are sleeping through the night..

My DD is 11 weeks and has been sttn fully for about 3 weeks. Every once in a while she wakes up for a wet diaper but thats about it. It was very rough before that, she just suddenly started sttn one day and now when we put her down for the night she goes right to sleep
