Diaper Question...
I know every baby is going to be different but about how many diapers did your DC go through a day? I am due in a week and I am trying to decide if I should order more Newborn sized diapers or just wait.
I am going to BF if that makes a difference with the poop situation.

Diaper Question...
DD was born on 1/19. I had 3 boxes of 88ct and a pack of 30ct swaddler sensitive and have about 30-40 diapers left but they will be gone by the end of the week or so. So that lasted about a month.
I change poop about 5/10 minutes after she is finished (or I think she is finished) and pee gets changed every 2-3 hours on average.

I can't remember how many we went through in a day. However, we bought a case of newborns (240) and then ended up buying a pack of 34 more before moving up to size 1s. While DD could technically still fit in newborns size wise, her poos are too big and would overflow the diaper after about 4 weeks.

This but to tell you the truth we didn't go nuts buying newborn diapers. They only had size 1 at the hospital we just folded them over and that worked fine so thas what we did at home when we ran out of NB size diapers

DD was 7lb 14 oz and wore NB size diapers till 10lbs (7-8 weeks). I think we went through 200-250 NB size if not more!

Diaper Question...
About 10 a day. Don't get too many of the NB size though!! DS outgrew them after 3 weeks. You can always run out and buy more if you need.

We had the huggies nb with the cord outlet. They always leaked so we kept DD in size 1 just like in the hospital. They were big enough not to irritate the cord.

Diaper Question...
Just buy size 1. DD was 6 lb 10 oz and we never used a newborn diaper on her. A little extra room helps when they have blow ups too

ITA - Unless you have a very small baby, NB is pretty useless.

my DD was a peanut. born 6 lbs..and was in NB diapers for a couple of months...def went through 2 large boxes maybe more...but I know I am in the minority..it all depends on how big your baby is...
but avg'ed 10-12 diapers in the beginning...and then it slowly gets less as they get older

10-12 dd was put in size 1 diapers from the beginning. she was 7lbs 12 oz so i wouldnt stock up on diapers until you know what size LO is in the hospital.

We go through a lot - probably 15.
I purchased a box of like 140 newborn diapers I think? And my mom bought a pack of 40. That was basically the exact perfect amount. Just as they started to get too small, she grew out of them.
She was 7 pounds 8 ounces when born and grew out of them by the end of 2 weeks.
If you want to stock up, buy size 1 - they start fitting at 8 pounds (I found they fit a bit better when she was closer to 9 pounds). You will be in size 1 a lot longer then NB.

DD was 7.6lbs at birth. I didn't buy many newborns for fear that she would outgrow them right away. She is 3 weeks today and we have a long ways to go in newborn! Already had to go out and buy a bunch!
